20 Questions with Matt George

Matt George is the owner of shoe-haven Goodfoot. Every shoe enthusiast in the country hits up one of the locations in Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and Toronto (in T.O there are 2 locations). Matt is co-owner of Nomad, Ransom and has the Stussy store in Tdot. If Mr. George were a rapper he’d no doubt be Jay-Z, loved by bros and broads equally. 1. What is your dream of happiness?
I dream of so many things that make me happy. Right now I would take a five day work week instead of my current schedule. And no more commercial plane travel.

Brunette

3. What Is the quality you like most in a man?
Honesty

4. What do you fear most?
Letting my team down.

5. 808s or 909s?
808′s – One of the first drum machines ever built and in the early 80′s.

6. What’s your biggest regret?
I dont regret anything. Cliche I know.

7. What’s your fave bar or club in the world?
Buck T4′s- Bozeman , Montana.

8. What’s the one thing you can’t you live with out?
Fresh socks

9. What are the 3 musicians dead or alive you’d like to see perform?
CCR, Led Zeppelin , Fleetwood Mac

10. What is your favorite decade in music?
Late 60′s

11. If you had to choose, would you rather go blind of deaf and why?
Id rather be Blind -Helen Keller once said… Deafness is far more unfortunate. For it means the loss of the most vital stimulus – the sound of the voice that brings language, sets thoughts astir, and keeps us in the intellectual company of man. I agree.

12. How old is too old?
Never too old.

13. Where did you see yourself in 15 years?
I only have a 5 year plan. 15 years is too far in the future. Either in a really good place or a really dark one.

14. Who’s your hero?
I dont know yet.

Black

16. What song could you live without ever hearing again?
There are way too many…”We built this city” – Starship – Any music that reeks of 80′s corporate-rock commercialism.

Metallica

18. What’s your most hated vice?
Expensive dinners

19. Who is the most tragic figure in history?
President George W Bush – He has turned the most powerful and influential country upside down in 8 years. I’ll leave it at that.

Sade – small private club in London 2002 , Roots – Acoustic set in NYC 1999
