Shane Percy is the creator and co-DJ of Grapefruit, Toronto’s longest running dance night. He has also DJd at Toronto Pride, The Phoenix, The Gladstone and many others  and most recently at the Casey House Snowball Fundraiser. In addition to DJing, Shane writes about pop and dance music and his columns have appeared in Xtra! Xtra! and West.

1. What is your dream of happiness?
Living by the ocean with my man

2. Blonde or Brunette?
Brunette

3. What Is the quality you like most in a man?
Confidence

4. What do you fear most?
Not experiencing everything I possibly can. With the exception of sky diving or anything involving heights.

6. What’s your biggest regret?
I don’t have any. I know regret is a waste of my time.

7. What’s your fav bar or club in the world?
G-A-Y in London.

8. What’s the one thing you can’t you live with out?
Really good friends.

9. What are the 3 musicians dead or alive you’d like to see perform?
Front row Tina Turner… Kurt Cobain.. Abba...

10. What is your favorite decade in music?
It is impossible for me to choose one, but I like the 60′s for the pop groups, the 70′s for the dawn of dance music
culture, the 80′s for the synths, and the 90′s for the beats…

11. If you had to choose, would you rather go blind of deaf and why?
Blind. I couldn’t handle silence, it would drive me crazy.

12. How old is too old?
I don’t believe in ‘too old’

13. Where do you see yourself in 15 years?
England

George Harrison

15. What’s your favourite colour?
Blue. But i guess everyone likes blue. I like red too.

16. What song could you live without ever hearing again?
“Ironic” by Alanis Morissette. Or pretty much anything from that mid-to-late 90′s phase of bad bad rock music, ie. the Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul, Blind Melon, etc.

19. Who is the most tragic figure in history?
Anne Frank

20. What are the top three live shows you’ve seen in your life?
Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Kraftwerk.
