Jas Nasty loves dirty beats. Driven by heavy bass, you can expect to get down when she drops banging tracks that will bust through genre barriers of reggae, dubstep, 2-step, Baltimore club, electro, house, retro, rave/electronica & bhangra.
Her DJ adventures began in 2001 at Trent Radio, (Peterborough), where she hosted and produced various weekly music shows. This led to DJ-ing parties and bars in Peterborough, and to Montreal to DJ for circus cabarets and loft parties.
Jas founded Women on Wax MTL in 2005, & was involved in the early Montreal dubstep scene, opening for pioneers Skream and Kode 9 at Ghislain Poirier’s night Bounce Le Gros in 2006. Now in Ottawa, she continues to hustle heavy bass with her involvement with parties Dark Disco, HUMP, Beaver Fever, Fresh Meet, GAY MAFIA, & GOT BASS?
