20 Questions: Kardinal Offishall

The 12th Annual Kardinal Christmas Gala is tonight at This Is London. The Gala is hosted by Russell Peters and tickets are $35 at the door. All proceeds will be donated to The Breast Cancer Society of Canada. Being a breast man, we asked Kardi the 20 Qs, cause we like boobies too. If you wanna know more about donating, click here. 1. What is your dream of happiness?

A full family (wife and atleast 2 kids-dog etc.), no bills, a profit bearing investment property and access to produce and write for my favourite artists.

2. Blonde or Brunette?

Clean shaven! ;o)

3. What Is the quality you like most in a man?

I like sincerity in a wo-man…

4. What do you fear most?

Inability to solve a problem.

5. 808s or 909s?

808s. I just like the kit itself, plus nothing beats an 808 bass drum.

6. What’s your biggest regret?

Not dedicating more of my life to MY wants and needs, instead of the people in my life.

7. What’s your fav bar or club in the world?

The one in my house…

8. What’s the one thing you can’t you live with out?

Access to music-its in every room of my house (somewhere-including my master suite bathroom!), every car, every phone-everywhere! I love *GOOD* music.

9. What are the 3 musicians dead or alive you’d like to see perform?

Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix and Lauryn Hill (as long as she raps too!).

10. What is your favorite decade in music? The 90′s. (If I could cheat-84-94 specifically)

11. If you had to choose, would you rather go blind of deaf and why?

I would never choose willingly. Both are essential to my living right now. I think I would…I can’t do it. With that said-god bless those that have to live their lives without one of those abilities!!!

12. How old is too old?

Too old for what? Its all about if ur good! If u can play like Kobe till ur 60-do it! If u can sing like an Angel until you’re 100-do it! If u can flip like Mary Lou Retton until ur 92, go ahead and love all of it while ur doing it. If u don’t love something anymore-while ur doing it-thats when ur too old.

13. Where did you see yourself in 15 years?

Diversified-having my money work for me instead of working for my money.

14. Who’s your hero?

Many people in my family. I’ll go with my Uncle Ralf. Strong figure in my family who raised fanatastic children (not just his own), fears god, and continues to lead by example.

15. What’s your favourite colour?

I love red. Its very flashy-u make a statement when u rock red. U gotta be confident in it though.

16. What song could you live without ever hearing again?

Hahaha. Take ur pic of most crap playing right now. Lol. Ummmm…I could do without hearing crank dat for awhile.

17. Metallica or Madonna?

Madonna! I used to love “lucky star” back in the day.

18. What’s your most hated vice?

Addiction to sweet foods.

19. Who is the most tragic figure in history? There’s so many. Right now-to me? Saukrates. He’s the mooooooooost talented artist living who still never got a shot at killing the charts. 2010 he’s gonna make a mark though! But he’s been incredible since AT LEAST 16 years of age and, through different circumstances, hasn’t been recognized worldwide for his talents and influence on many Canadian artists. Anybody who ever succeeded out of my city has worked with Saukrates at some point in time.

20. What are the top three live shows you’ve seen in your life

Up In Smoke, KRS1 and Wyclef!
