H&M Spring/Summer ’12 & Versace Collab

When you look outside there is no denying it we are about to stare Jack Frost dead in the face, but when it comes to land of fashion (which I live in) its hot as hell with Spring & Summer trends.

For Spring/Summer 2012 H&M took all the essentials one needs for the season and gave them a fluid but tailored silhouette, the pieces have the look and feel of modern styling, with soft touches. For the season H&M decided to stay on the lighter end of the spectrum with a whites, neutrals taking centre stage, with some fruity colours for the perfect accent.

Vintage styling is seen in the delightful dresses and their silhouettes a definite nod to ’60s if you ask me.

Citrus colours were a key element – seen in staple suits, accessories, prints and trim.

The cornerstone of the collection is the white-bright statement suit and its counterparts… leather zipped vest, wide trousers, kimono-esque jackets, and layered mini-skirt.

The mixture of details from the light pleats & gathers to the layering of contrasting fabrics, are the right notes of modern styling.

One of the reasons I heart H&M is the accessories galore, and of course they didn’t disappoint with bright bags & belts, chunky bangles and sweet scarves.

Even the kiddies are fresh in bright hues, stripes and prints.

The H&M man for S/S ’12 is a combination of classic styling with a modern flair, as seen in the seersucker, khaki basics spiced up with citrus punches.

For the more fashion forward gents in our lives I have a little exclusive!!! Finally in March ’12 we’ll get a H&M PURPLE LABEL spot, at the one and only Yorkdale Mall! Here’s a peek at some of the goodies…

Peep a sneak peek of Versace x H&M collab… all I can say is this is “Classic” Versace in everywhere shape and form!! Donatella went straight to the archives and pulled out all the oldies but goodies- from prints, to sequins and iconic buttons, everything I LOVE and remember about Versace!!!
