What’s better than being young (real young, 16 years old young), hot, talented and having Rick Ross as your mentor? That’s basically just an everyday dream for me, but for Reema Major it’s real life.

DID I MENTION SHE’S FROM TORONTO! (born in the Sudan, but she was partly raised here and partly raised in Kansas City. Fam still living in our city). And she’s signed to Toronto’s G7 Records. She’s only been in the game since 2009, that makes her extra fresh.

Much like Justin Bieber she was discovered online, Myspace to be exact. She was discovered by Stephen Hill, BET’s president of programming. She was asked to participate in my favourite thing of all …….the BET HIP HOP AWARD CYPHERS (seriously click that link). Ughhhhhh if you can rock your spot during the cypher it means you’re going to be big. Lil Diggy Simmons rocked his a couple years back and now he’s jet setting around the world on his own terms.

She’s released a couple mixtapes, one being I Am Legend last May. Now that Ross is endorsing the girl we’re waiting for a full length release. I can’t even imagine being this fierce at the age of 16. She’s confident like she’s been in the game forever and she’s about ready to eat everybody up. I believe she can do it.

Oh and please let’s not compare her to Nicki. Just because they’re both female doesn’t mean shit. Leave her alone and let her be her.
