K. Flay – Rest Your MInd

K. Flay just released this video along with her brand new song “Rest Your Mind.”

While videos featuring a close up shot of a mouth rapping seems to be overly trendy in hip hop right now (A$AP Rocky’s Purple Swag, and Azealia Banks’ 212 came to mind instantly), K. Flay’s version featuring vigorous tooth brushing is refreshingly self-concious and a little bit hilarious.

The video combines K. Flay’s unaffected realness with some super weirdness (um… the dinosaur?) in a ratio that suits the song perfectly.

I might not be rocking out to this song in the car because the sound of the sirens would terrify me, but I will definitely be adding it to some of my other playlists. I can’t stop listening.
