Bloghunter: Esther Garnick of EGPR Part II
Celebrity-diet obsessed and always happy to see a pin-thin starlet smoking their way to size 0, I’ve made it my personal mission these past few days of TIFF to stalk celebrities with every bite they take.
Here is the inside intel I have gathered:
The Film: Spring Breakers
Location: Brassaii
The Stars:
Selena Gomez
Vanessa Hudgens (+ date Austin Butler)
Ashley Benson
David Blaine
Darren Criss
Eli Roth
Natasha Lyonne
Michael Pitt
Sean Young
Menu:
Kale Salad
Seafood Salad
Roasted Corn Soup
Grilled Tenderloin
Sweet Corn Chicken
Sockeye Salmon
Ricotta Gnudi
Chai Pot de Crème
Milk Chocolate Gianduia Wafer Bar
Sorbet
Disney Darling no more (have you heard about this movie???), Selena had herself the steak.
Apparently, David Blaine was on a more restrictive diet, since he politely requested salmon and greens for his main course.
Jell-O shooters and popsicles swimming in champagne were among the fun party favours being passed around. Selena Gomez showed us how awesome it is to be young and unafraid of hangover hell by enjoying a fizzing glass of popsicle-champagne.
The Film: Perks of Being a Wallflower
Location: Edition 850 Richmond Street
The food and beverage courtesy Brassaii, of course.
The Stars:
Emma Watson (entourage said NO seafood + healthiest choices available; Emma ate pulled pork)
Nina Dobrev
Jason Reitman
Alia Shawkat
Mae Whitman
Ezra Miller
Chord Overstreet
The Menu:
Floral decorated Sushi
Pulled pork sandwiched
Jumbo Shrimp
Halibut sandwiches
Watermelon Puree
Macrons
The food and beverage offerings were created by the culinary team at Brassaii, so it was obviously tough for teeny beauty Emma Watson to resist eating a pulled pork sandwich. Let’s all take a moment to acknowledge that she ate something that ends in sandwich. Way to go Hermoine. Eat those carbs, girl.
The Film: The Company You Keep
Location: Brassaii
The Stars:
Robert Redford
Anna Kendrick
I heard Robert Redford doesn’t do formal.
The set up: Upscale food-stations with service a la minut included a decadent mozzarella bar, carving station and sea-meets-land and tastes like heaven bar. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who can’t resist a feast, and neither could the cast.
I peered through a curtain (without shame) to watch Anna Kendrick enjoy some chicken, a Lobster Roll, Tomato Mozzarella, Rigatoni with Meat Sauce, and a glass of white wine.
Apparently, this TIFF – Stars, they’re just like us.
