20 Questions with Ainsley Kerr

20 Questions with Ainsley Kerr

Ainsley Kerr is our favourite socialite. She’s got everything you need to be a good one: she’s beautiful and charming and gracious and smart. She shows up to everything she RSVPs for, is constantly repping Canadian designers and remembers everyone’s name (we’re still floored by this one), plus she looks great on a red carpet and spends her free time working with ReThink Breast Cancer who’s big to do, the BoobyBall, is coming up October 14th and already close to sold out. We swoon for Ms. Kerr every time we see her. And now she’s taken the 20 Qs.

1. What is your dream of happiness?

Being surrounded by my closest family and friends with a good bottle of wine and delicious food in the middle of Muskoka

2. Blonde or Brunette?

Obviously blonde

3. What is the quality you like most in a person?

Empathy

4. What do you fear most?

There are a handful of very special people in my life that I love truly and deeply – my greatest fear is if anything happened to one of them.

5. 808s or 909s?

I guess that I am not cool enough to know what 808s or 909s means.

6. What’s your biggest regret?

In general, I don’t regret things. Maybe there are a few things that I wish I’d done or some things that on reflection, I maybe should have handled differently but these past actions and decisions have led me to where I am today and I am happy.

7. What’s your fav bar or club in the world?

I have two: The bar at Hotel du Cap in Cannes – it has the most romantic view over the Mediterranean and the Chandelier Bar in Vegas (where you can drink inside a giant chandelier – how cool is that!)

8. What’s the one thing you can’t live without?

Love… and a weekly blow out

9. What are the 3 musicians dead or alive you’d like to see perform?

Elvis, Bob Marley and Nat King Cole

10. What is your favourite decade in music?

1950’s. When I was little I was obsessed with 50’s – it all had such positive energy behind it.

11. If you had to choose, would you rather go blind or deaf and why?

One of our good family friends has recently gone blind because of her brain cancer and it is incredibly hard for her – I imagine going deaf would be an easier transition. I have a girlfriend from university who is deaf and it was a lot of fun bc she could lip read. I remember going to bars with her and talking about boys without saying a word!

Age is a state of mind. I have friends of all ages. Never lose the ability to have fun, see the positive in the world and surround yourself with those you love and you’ll never get old.

Who knows where I will be! I’ll probably be surrounded by the same family and friends except I’ll have a gaggle of loud crazy children thrown into the mix

14. Who’s your hero?

My Grandmother. She was very sick with multiple illnesses for many years – we used to say she had nine lives. At the time, I didn’t realize it but she taught me a lot of valuable lessons about life. I often think a lot about conversations we had.

15. What’s your favourite colour?

Sparkles!

16. What song could you live without ever hearing again?

Anything by the Spice Girls. I used to have their albums on repeat for years.

Being overly sensitive

19. Who is the most tragic figure in history?

Marylin Monroe is certainly one of them…

20. What are the top three live shows you’ve seen in your life?

Although, I did see a performance last year of the Canadian band Stars at the Festival Music House (during TIFF). It was such a beautiful intimate performance. As well Coldplay live performances I really enjoy
