T. Mills Skype Date

T. Mills Skype Date

Seriously, we cannot stop talking about T.Mills. He's infected our blog, our facebook, our twitter, and our social lives.   So when we found out big don Anna Von was going to have a skype date with Million, everyone else at PinkMafia kinda lost their shit. Regardless, Anna got to have a 1-on-1 with Mills to talk about everything from touring to Starbucks to Chairman Mills. Check out some clips after the jump. Yeah, that's what he said. 140 SONGS! "Come Inside" didn't make the cut... 2 hours make a song. Jesus.

20 Questions with Rob Dyer

20 Questions with Rob Dyer

Rob Dyer has made a name for himself as the creator of Skate4Cancer, a team who strive to raise awareness and prevention of all forms of cancer. In 2004 at age 20 Rob and his team planned to skate from Los Angeles to Newmarket, in the 4 months before the trip Rob lost his mother, 2 grandmothers and close friend to cancer. During the 3 month tour Dyer suffered through a stress fracture in his ankle, finally settling home. Since then Dyer has skated cross country again from Vancouver to Halifax,  and in the past year skated Australia/ New Zealand,...

20 Questions With Holy Ghost

They were rappers, they were DJs, they were remixers, and now they have a full album to keep you footloose and fancy free, Holy Ghost! have risen from making drainpipe- sporting hipsters dance in New York to all over the continent and then some Check the myspace for the duos mad remixes of Phoenix, MGMT, Friendly Fires, and their own boomdiggy shit. In the mean  time Holy Ghost!'s (and they damn well earned that exclamation point) Nicholas Millhiser and Alexander Frankel took some time off to answer PinkMafia's 20 Q. 1. What is your dream of happiness? Alex: Big studio,...

Booty Camp Blog #3

Booty Camp Blog #3

Hell hath no fury like outdoor Booty Camp. Admittedly, I've been faring pretty well since I started Booty Camp at the beginning of April, but things got kicked up to another level when we moved outdoors. First, the rain. Oh God, the rain. While I can appreciate the sentiments being evoked from the G.I. Jane-esque doing-pushups-in-the-rain that we've had going on--it's brutal. Trying not to break your ankle while running on wet cement had better translate to looking sweet in a bikini once the weather gets nicer. Secondly, the cold. Nothing is more of a deterrent than doing push-ups and sit-ups on cold cement....

My City: Evan Seventeen

My City: Evan Seventeen

Evan Seventeen was once exactly that when he met Anna Von on Friendster. He later started making Teeshirts under that name and then even later started promoting as Evan Seventeen. Suffice it to say, the name sucks. He used to live in Sudbury and hated life. Then he moved to Ottawa and discovered drugs (oh yeah, he used to be straight edge, too) and partying. He's the guy who built our blog, Knee Socks Beat Cleavage, and even though he's far too talented for a shit  job, he is endlessly working at call centres anyway. A few years ago, he grew a mustache which made him look...

Our TIFF Guide to The Best Of 4AM License

Our TIFF Guide to The Best Of 4AM License

Here's our Guide to 4AM license in Toronto for International Film Festival (Click here for a downloadable guide!) Every club chomps at the celebrity bit during Film Fest but after years and years of parties, both official and un, we have become seasoned vets at this TIFF party biz. It's not about who's gonna be there (chances are you won't even get so much as a glance at Megan Fox at her party) it's more about who's in attendance on the dace floor. Whatever boring corporate bullshit you attend in Yorkville, or maybe you actually go to some...

20 Questions With Anne Middleton

20 Questions With Anne Middleton

Anne Middleton is the owner and operator of one of the best stores on Queen Street West, Lavish & Squalor. She's got a great eye, carrying a lot of brands no one else seems to get like locals Oligarchy and MOB out of New York. Think it's frustrating to be ahead of the curve, hell ya. But thank god for broads like her throwing down on trash infested, Queen West. She loves Lilo and hates Katy Perry. And we makeout with her for that. 1. What is your dream of happiness? Interesting things to do, say, hear, look at,...
